From the creators of Seedball, Emily & Ana:
“Seedball is a non-profit company on a massive mission to help increase the abundance of British wildflowers and wildlife that depend upon them. We believe that if we can all better use whatever space we have available to us (whether a back garden, balcony, window box, little patio etc) we can together have a hugely beneficial impact on our local ecosystems. The last 50 years has been witness to huge declines in pollinators and other garden wildlife, but together we can really really do something to reverse this. For us we want Seedball to inspire a wildlife gardening revolution while providing a very handy way of going about it!”

How Does It Work?
Seedballs are encased in clay and peat-free compost, ready to grow. Simply scatter on bare soil or compost, leaving 10 cm between each ball.
The outer clay prevents birds and insects from eating the seeds, and they’ve even added a dash of chilli powder to deter slugs and snails.
About 4-6 weeks after scattering (and with the help of rain and sun) the wildflower seeds will start to germinate. Slowly the ball will break apart, leaving a patch of young plants which will continue to grow into a beautiful wildflower garden.
Where Can I Plant The Seeds?
The seeds can be used on any bare soil or compost - including window boxes, flower pots and garden beds.
